Jiangxi

Province names acting governor

The local legislature of Jiangxi province named Yi Lianhong as vice-governor and acting governor of the province at a session on Monday. Yi, born in 1959, is a native of Hunan province. He worked in the provincial governments of Hunan and Liaoning before serving as Jiangxi's Party vice-secretary in July this year. The session accepted the resignation of Liu Qi, who became governor of Jiangxi in September 2016.
