Bus crash claims 2 lives, 30 injured
A bus carrying 31 Chinese tourists has collided with two automobiles in southern Turkey, killing two Turkish citizens and leaving 30 people injured. Ambulances and rescue teams were dispatched and the wounded were taken to local hospitals. The staterun Anadolu Agency said the accident occurred on the outskirts of Akseki, a town in the southern province of Antalya. One female Chinese tourist reportedly in critical condition was sent by helicopter to Antalya.

Duterte invites extremists to talks
The President has invited the country's Islamist extremist Abu Sayyaf Group for talks with his administration, saying it is time to stop violence. In a speech in Jolo in Sulu province late on Friday, Duterte said that peace will soon reign in Mindanao in the southern Philippines with the signing of the Bangsamoro Organic Law. "Let's talk," Duterte told the Abu Sayyaf militants.

Lawmakers protest plans for 3D guns
Dozens of legislators are demanding that the Trump administration explain a recent agreement to allow the free distribution of plans for using 3D printers to make plastic handguns that will be easy to hide and almost impossible to control. The agreement between the State Department and Wilson's Defense Distributed group was reached on June 29 but remained secret until last week.

Nearly 600 killed in widespread floods
Around 600 people have died over the past couple of weeks and hundreds of thousands of houses have been washed away in six states across India after incessant rains led to flash floods and landslides. Millions have been left homeless, authorities said. According to reports, the worst affected area has been the southwestern state of Maharashtra, which has witnessed nearly 140 deaths so far.

Teen who slapped soldiers released
Palestinian teenager Ahed Tamimi left prison on Sunday after an eight-month sentence for slapping two Israeli soldiers, an episode captured on video that made her a symbol of resistance for Palestinians, a prison service spokesman said.
