Teacher uses tires to inspire students to fitness

Lin Meizhen is a volunteer physical education teacher at Quanzhou Xianling Primary School, in an impoverished area in Fujian province. When she first arrived in 2010, there was no sports equipment. Her spare time is dedicated to making equipment or using old tires from a nearby garage to make an obstacle course. Apart from the benefits of exercise, she wants her students to enjoy the thrill of accomplishment and empowerment they get from completing the course.
