Industrial robot output increases

Manufacturing of industrial robots is making steady progress in China, with the industry logging 20 percent growth in the last five years on an annualized basis, People's Daily reported. According to the China Robot Industry Alliance, 131,000 industrial robots were made in the country during 2017 and 6,500 enterprises were engaged in robot production. China also employed the largest amount of industrial robots since 2013, said the CRIA. The market share of domestically made industrial robots fell for the first time in five years, shrinking to below 27 percent in 2017.
