Statue helps widow recall the good times

Zhou Kaida died in 2013. He was an academic at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and also a renowned hybrid rice expert. Sichuan Agricultural University, where he worked, commissioned a bronze statue on campus to honor his life. His widow, 88, stops by it every day and recalls his companionship. Their daughter said, "Due to my mom's declining memory, she sometimes forgets her two sons' names, but never forgets my father's."
