Pet rabbit found in neighbor's pot

A man, surnamed Liu, was recently paid 1,800 yuan ($272) in compensation by a neighbor who killed his pet rabbit. After noticing his pet was missing, Liu called the police and they tracked the animal to the home of a neighbor, surnamed Wu, using surveillance video footage. The rabbit had only been missing for a few hours, but Wu had already killed it and was cooking up some rabbit stew. Wu said she thought the rabbit had been bought by a family member as a snack. Liu said the rabbit had been very dear to him and his son, and he did not know how to tell the boy it had died.
