'Green promise' projects raise awareness

Local, community-focused events promote environmental sustainability, help the needy. Liang Kaiyan reports.

AccorHotels Group is implementing its "green promise" throughout China via a program of events held at its diverse range of hotels, as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.

The group's sustainable development program Planet 21 Day was launched in 2011. In addition to continuing to drive forward the achievements made during the first phase, the second phase, which covers the period from 2016-20, aims to involve more stakeholders to advocate the idea of sustainable development to positively affect the environment and society, according to Cory Winter, chairman of CSR committee in AccorHotels China.
