Alibaba launches anti-drug platform

A government-led anti-drug agency announced on June 25 that it will cooperate with China's e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd to set up an online platform covering a series of anti-drug educational lectures. Liang Yun, a government official in charge of the country's anti-drug related work, said anti-drug actions faced great challenges as new forms of drugs are emerging. Drugs such as heroine have been repackaged with names designed to appeal to teenagers. The online platform, Youth Pride, will use Alibaba's data and technology to deliver audio and video content to teach students the harmful effects of drugs as well as prevention measures.
