Bad parking blamed for husband's death

Around China

A widow in Wuhan has blamed a property management company for her husband's death after an ambulance was prevented from taking him to hospital due to badly parked vehicles. The woman, surnamed Zhang, called emergency services on June 25 after her 44-year-old husband had a seizure at their home in a residential complex. The ambulance arrived quickly but was enable to exit the complex due to parked vehicles and bicycles blocking its path. Neighbors helped clear the way, but the ambulance was delayed by about 15 minutes. Yu died on the way to hospital. Zhang plans to take legal action against the property management company, which she argues should be held partly responsible as it had failed to regulate residential parking.
