Kuwaiti emir to visit China

Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will kick off a state visit to China on Saturday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang announced on Monday. During the four-day visit, President Xi Jinping and the emir will attend the opening ceremony of the 8th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, which will be held in Beijing on July 10. China-Kuwait relations have developed rapidly in recent years, Lu said, adding that the two countries have achieved remarkable results in the fields of energy, trade, financing and infrastructure.
