'Spider-Man' held for break-ins

A 31-year-old thief in Wuhan who invented a wall-climbing technique by mimicking spiders broke into four high-rise apartments on the night of June 11. The man, surnamed Liu, had been practicing the technique for years and had been jailed three times before for breaking into homes. He resumed his criminal career after being released from prison recently but was caught by police at midnight on June 19.
