China Daily | Updated: 2018-06-27 07:44

LONDON - In the debate about the greatest players of all time, the names of Rod Laver and Billie Jean King crop up again and again.

With 59 Grand Slam titles between them, the pair left an indelible imprint on the sport in the 1960s and 1970s.

This year is the 50th anniversary of the first Wimbledon of the professional era and fittingly the pair, who each won the singles title in 1968, will be back at the All England Club as the "Chairman's Guests".
