Crude oil output edges down by 1.6% in May
China's crude oil output fell 1.6 percent year-on-year in May to 15.97 million metric tons, lower than the 2.3 percent decline in April, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed. The nation produced 515,000 tons of crude oil daily in the month, compared to 517,000 tons in April. The daily crude oil output has stayed at around 515,000 tons for five months in a row, said the NBS. In May, the country's crude imports gained 5 percent year-on-year to 39.05 million tons, the NBS data showed.
