Children burned by cleaning solution

Three children received alkali burns after accidentally falling on the same street at different times while playing in their community in Xi'an on June 4. They were all sent to hospital after their falls, and one may need skin transplant surgery. The community manager said street cleaners had used alkali solution to wash away oily stains on the street surface but had failed to put up any warning signs.
