China, New Zealand conduct air exercises

The air forces of China and New Zealand will conduct joint exercises until June 21 in New Zealand, the People's Liberation Army Air Force announced on Monday. A Chinese Ilyushin IL-76 military transport aircraft landed in Auckland ahead of Exercise Skytrain 18, which will be conducted with the New Zealand Defense Force. Advance stops were made in the Philippines and Australia. The training, which focuses on humanitarian aid, disaster relief and maritime rescue, is the first joint exercise between the air forces of China and New Zealand.
