LONDON - Schoolboy climber Edward Mills, aged 8, has become the youngest person ever to scale a famous rocky column in Scotland known as the Old Man of Hoy.

The boy set himself the task to help raise money for the charity Climbers Against Cancer in honor of his mom Bekki Christian who has terminal breast cancer.

Edward, from Caithness in the Scottish Highlands, told local media the ascent to the top of the 140-meter high column was quite scary.
