Maritime, air liaison mechanism vital

The Foreign Ministry said on Friday that establishing and launching the China-Japan maritime and air liaison mechanism is vital to enhance crisis management and safeguard regional peace and stability. China and Japan share the goal of crisis management in the East China Sea, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told a daily news conference, adding that relations between the two countries have returned to normal.
