Drunken driver halts tunnel traffic

Police investigating a car blocking traffic in a Nanjing tunnel discovered the driver asleep at the wheel on May 27. The motorist, surnamed Zhu, said he had consumed large quantities of alcohol over lunch and decided to take a short nap on his way to pick up his wife. Surveillance video showed Zhu's car parked for over 10 minutes, causing severe traffic delays in the tunnel. Zhu was taken into custody on suspicion of drunken driving.
