Egypt agonizes over Salah injury

Egypt fans face an anxious wait to see if scoring star Mo Salah will be fit for the World Cup after the Liverpool winger injured his shoulder in Saturday's Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old, idolized in his home country after a stellar Premier League season for the Reds, fell heavily on his shoulder after a tangle with Real defender Sergio Ramos in the 26th minute of the match in Kiev.

After trying in vain to continue, minutes later Salah left the pitch in tears and departed the stadium in a sling, dealing the Reds a huge blow as a Gareth Bale-inspired Madrid went on to win 3-1.
