Quake hits Jilin; no injuries reported

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake hit the Ningjiang district of Songyuan, Jilin province, early Monday, according to the Beijing-based China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter was listed at 45.27 degrees north latitude and 124.71 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 13 kilometers.

No one was reported killed in the quake, which happened at 1:50 am, but it damaged more than 1,500 households in the district, according to the Songyuan publicity department.
