Retired sniffer finds new life with family

A sniffer dog that has worked at ports across the country has started a well-earned retirement in the home of an adoptive family in Shanghai.

The family was selected from among 120 candidates after authorities carefully assessed conditions at their homes and their reasons for seeking adoption.

"We are so lucky to adopt the dog," said Fan Xiaoyu. "I liked him the moment I saw his pictures in the adoption announcement online. My family certainly will care for him and offer him a comfortable and happy life."
