Gap apologizes for T-shirt map errors

By Wang Keju | China Daily | Updated: 2018-05-16 07:52

US clothing retailer Gap apologized on Monday for omitting Taiwan and other parts of China from a T-shirt featuring a map of the country and promised to take steps to prevent such incidents.

The map of China on the Gap T-shirt did not show Taiwan, part of Tibet and the South China Sea.

Gap said on its official Sina Weibo micro-blog account that it respects and supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of China and is "terribly sorry for this unintentional mistake".
