Grand Hyatt Xi'an, which opened in the capital of Shaanxi province in late April, has added an exciting new landmark to the city's architectural skyline.

Owned by Maike Group and managed by Hyatt Hotels Group, the new property is the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Northwest China, marking a new milestone in the brand's history, according to the hospitality management company.

"We're extremely honored to bring Grand Hyatt to Xi'an," said Sidney Hardy, general manager of the Grand Hyatt Xi'an at the opening ceremony on April 22.

"The city is a unique combination of rich cultural heritage and modern vibrancy, which makes it a choice location for our first Grand Hyatt hotel in northwestern China," Hardy said.

"We are ready to welcome our guests from around the world with the warm hospitality and unparalleled journey of iconic experiences that the city of Xi'an has to offer."

Resonating with the Jingyun bell in Xi'an Bell Tower, echoing amid the hustle and bustle of its modern life, the city has great presence that exudes past and present. Lying at the start of the ancient trade route Silk Road, it is one of China's four great historical capitals.

The towering jewel of the bustling CBD in the city's high-tech industrial zone, the Grand Hyatt Xi'an forms part of the landmark Maike Center, the first steel-structure connected building in China developed by the Maike Group.

Connecting the hotel and office building is the extraordinary Sky Bridge, which stands 106 meters above the ground and is home to four restaurants and bars. From the bridge, visitors can take in breathtaking 360-degree views of the metropolis below.

Featuring Grand Hyatt's signature elegance and modern comfort, and blending harmony with the unique cultural traditions of Xi'an, the hotel celebrates the iconic experiences of the city's glorious past and its exciting present.

Grand Hyatt Xi'an reinterprets the imperial splendor and exotic multicultural influences of Xi'an with bold contemporary flair. Guests will be spellbound by its timeless beauty inspired by the exotic wildlife, geography and culture of the Silk Road.

The hotel accommodates 396 guest rooms with designs evoking a palatial mirage in the desert that marries contemporary luxury and modern comfort, offering an elegant retreat for travelers.

Light-brushed woods, complimented by terracotta or crimson accents, create a warm and relaxing ambience.

Conceived as an oasis amid surrounding sand dunes, the hotel's spa is a becalming sanctuary. Lavished with soothing natural shades of green and wood, with splashes of orange and yellow, it creates a natural, calm and refreshing environment for guests.

In addition, the hotel also offers spacious event venues that span 2,100 square meters, serving as ballrooms and meeting rooms.
