Babytree, Mattel expanding early learning centers

By Fan Feifei | China Daily | Updated: 2018-05-01 07:47

Babytree, China's largest online parenting community, is leveraging the growing demand for early childhood education by expanding its presence in offline early learning centers.

The company has announced an offline expansion plan as one of its key strategies. It inked a strategic partnership with Mattel Inc, the world's biggest toymaker, to co-develop an early childhood learning and development online platform and launch early-stage education centers for children last year.

Fisher-Price, a subsidiary of Mattel and also a toymaker, has carried out cooperation with Babytree to design related curricula, activities and classroom materials for children. There will be day care centers featuring educational services and small retail areas in or near office buildings.
