Netizen nabbed for disturbing videos

A man, surnamed Xiao, has been detained for 10 days for sharing on WeChat a four-minute video clip apparently showing the killing of a hostage by a terrorist. He was also fined 3,000 yuan ($480). Xiao, 24, was taken into custody by police on March 15 after netizens complained about the highly disturbing content. He said he shared the video on his "Moments" feed and forwarded it to another WeChat group because he thought it was "interesting".
