Around China

A man, surnamed Chen, is being hailed as a hero by locals after he subdued a crocodile with his bare hands in Foshan's Shunde district on March 23. Chen, a sanitation worker, brought the reptile under control after struggling for 30 minutes in a river during the early hours. The animal weighs more than 25 kilograms and is over 160 centimeters long. How the crocodile ended up in the river is still being investigated.
