Xi welcomes new ambassadors, urges bridge role

President Xi Jinping received the credentials presented by six new ambassadors to China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Friday, and he asked them to convey his greetings and good wishes to the leaders and people of their countries.

The ambassadors - from the Bahamas, Hungary, Poland, Iceland, Ecuador and Mozambique - conveyed congratulations on Xi's re-election as president and cordial greetings to him from the leaders of their respective countries.

Xi welcomed the ambassadors to China and said the Chinese government will provide convenience and support for their work.
