A good, regular income and a promising career prove that hard work pays off, as in the case of Xia Ou, a woman with one leg pursuing her dreams in Luoyang, Henan province. The 21-year-old left her village five years ago, and got her first job in Luoyang with a salary of 200 yuan ($32) a month.
