Man detained again for Nanjing insults

Nanjing police have placed a man in detention for eight days for filming a provocative video at the Memorial Hall for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders. The man, surnamed Meng, 35, made the video after serving five days in detention for insulting massacre victims in a WeChat group. Meng was detained by Shanghai police after saying in February that the 300,000-plus people killed during the 1937 massacre deserved their fates. On Monday, Meng surrendered to Nanjing police and admitted making the video to insult netizens who had reported him to the authorities.
