On March 8, 2008, star hurdler Liu Xiang won gold in the men's 60 meter hurdles at the 12th World Indoor Championships in Valencia, Spain.
He shot to fame when he won the 110 m hurdles at the 2004 Athens Olympics, equalling the world record of 12.91 seconds.
