Passenger lets cat out of the bag

A passenger was prevented from boarding a train in Shenzhen on Feb 12 after she was discovered attempting to smuggle aboard her pet cat. Security workers at Futian Railway Station stopped the woman, who was traveling to her hometown in Hunan province for the Spring Festival holiday, when she refused to let them check her hand luggage. They were suspicious as she had originally stuffed the bag under her clothes and pretended to be pregnant. When the bag was scanned, they discovered her cat inside. Passengers are prohibited from taking live animals - except for guide dogs - onto trains in China.
