Editor's Note: This year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up policy.

On Feb 26, 2008, China Daily Bilingual Mobile Newspaper was launched on China Unicom, with China Daily Mobile News (China Mobile version and China Telecom version) and China Daily PDF editions. With paid subscribers peaking at more than 600,000 since 2010, it was China's second-largest mobile newspaper.

To meet the trend of the rapid surge of the internet and social media, print media like China Daily have made various efforts to offer online services.
