Construction of border wall begins
US Customs and Border Protection announced on Wednesday that the government has started work on construction for a border wall replacement near downtown Calexico, about 190 kilometers east of San Diego, California. It's the first border construction project contract awarded by the Donald Trump administration aside from eight different prototypes of border wall that were built near the Otay Mesa border crossing San Diego.
MONTENEGRO
Grenade thrown into US embassy
An unidentified man threw an explosive device, probably a hand grenade, at the US embassy building in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, around midnight before blowing himself up, the government said on Thursday. No casualties were reported from the embassy which confirmed a small explosion near its compound. Police were "working intensely" to identify the assailant.
THAILAND
Tourists warned of jellyfish danger
Southern Thailand's public health departments warned tourists on Wednesday not to swim at certain beaches where warning signs have been put up after 23 people were stung by poisonous jellyfish. The tourists, including Thais and foreign visitors, are still being treated in hospital.
