Vip.com boosts cultural heritage
Vip.com, the third-largest e-commerce player in China, held a charity sale for intangible cultural heritage on Feb 4, the start of spring in the Chinese lunar calendar. All revenue from the charity sale will be used to help intangible cultural heritage craftsmen from poor areas. The sale reflects Vip.com's approach of "building a new business model to boost China's intangible cultural heritage and to alleviate poverty". Under this framework, the e-commerce firm has made efforts for more than a year to integrate intangible cultural heritage with modern life, fashion and business, and to form a sustainable industry.
