Ministries target gang crimes

Those who have committed gang-related crimes, or who have aided and abetted such activities, have been ordered to turn themselves in to police before March 1 if they wish to receive more lenient sentences or fines, according to a joint circular from the top court, the top procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Justice on Monday, in the latest campaign against gang crimes. Citizens are also encouraged to report such crimes by visiting www.12389.gov.cn or calling 010-12389.
