China's economic growth is likely to moderate to around 6.5 percent this year, while the government's priorities will be to resolve risks in the banking system and curb the rapid buildup of debt, according to Goldman Sachs.
Wang Shengzu, co-head of investment strategy at Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC's investment management division, said in a report that China's growth will be moderate as a result of lower infrastructure investment and a cooling property market.
While the report projected that investment growth will slow further in 2018, the United States investment bank said it expected China's household consumption to remain broadly stable and government spending supportive.
