Route to ease congestion: IATA official

A senior official from the International Air Transport Association backs flight route M503 to ease traffic congestion.

Air route M503 has been approved by the International Civil Aviation Organization, and the route's position and layout accords with the organization's document, the official said in response to concerns from the Taiwan civil aviation authority.

Route M503 is not new, having been in use since March 2015. Operational technology and emergency protocols are now in place, the official said.
