Media briefing to discuss Spring Festival travel safety

The State Council Information Office will hold a media briefing in Beijing on Wednesday to introduce measures to ensure safe and convenient journeys during the upcoming Spring Festival travel rush, which will last 40 days from Thursday to March 12. During the period, 388 million trips are expected to be made via rail, an increase of 8.8 percent compared with last year, and a record 65 million trips will be made by air.
