Charity event to highlight importance of organ donors

A charity event organized by the China Organ Transplantation Development Foundation will be held in Beijing on Tuesday. Huang Jiefu, president of the foundation, part of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, will attend the event. The number of organ donors in China reached 2,866 in the first seven months of last year, an increase of 33 percent compared to the same period in 2016.
