Greater Bay Area sees future in biotech firms

Hong Kong is in a unique position to lead biotechnology industry development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, said Fanny Law Fan Chiu-fun, chairwoman of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corp.

"Biotechnology is an indispensable field as the Bay Area is expected to be a global innovation and technology hub," Law said, "and that is a direction that we hope to move forward."

Law said that with its advantages in academic research and financial environment, Hong Kong is a perfect place for the development of the biotechnology industry.
