Four Chinese volunteers finished their 200-day stay in a simulated space lab in Beijing on Friday, setting a world record for the longest stay in a self-contained facility.
The volunteers, two men and two women, are students at Beihang University and are the second group of volunteers to take part in the Lunar Palace 365 experiment at the university's Lunar Palace 1 Bioregenerative Life-Support Laboratory.
They entered the lab on July 9 when the first group of four volunteers, also Beihang students, finished their 60-day shift. They came out of the facility on Friday afternoon.
