Exhibition boosts autism awareness
China Minsheng Bank and the China Social Assistance Foundation recently held an exhibition at the Beijing Minsheng Art Museum to help autistic children and raise national awareness about condition. Bank customers were encouraged to participate in the interactive exhibition by completing paintings that were partially created by autistic children. The aim of such an exercise is to build a world of "understanding", the bank said. The exhibition has so far attracted more than 5,000 families and received more than 4,000 paintings. "Connecting with the autism groups through art instead of words and languages helps us better feel the world of autistic people," said Qiu Zhijie, dean of the China Central Academy of Fine Arts.
