New economy boosts Beijing

Beijing achieved GDP of 2,800 billion yuan ($437.3 billion) in 2017, up 6.7 percent year-on-year, according to Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics and Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Beijing. The added value of the new economy sector has achieved 908.56 billion yuan, up 9.8 percent year-on-year and accounting for 32.4 percent of the city's economy.
