Veteran actress talks of the craft

China Daily | Updated: 2018-01-18 08:01

PASADENA, California - Angela Lansbury has words of wisdom for young actors.

The 92-year-old actress, who plays crusty Aunt March in PBS' new adaptation of Little Women, advised newcomers to learn everything possible about the character they're playing and "don't just go out there and spout words".

Actors who fail to approach their work thoughtfully will end up "a flash in the pan", Lansbury said during a Q&A session with TV critics on Tuesday.
