New energy, intelligent vehicles to get impetus

China's top economic regulator has cleared the way for the development of domestic new energy and intelligent vehicles. The country will promote the innovative development of the auto industry in the "strategic direction" of intelligent vehicles, according to the draft version of the Intelligent Automobile Innovation and Development Strategy, which was released by the National Development and Reform Commission to solicit opinion. China will develop artificial intelligence and big data technologies to make the new energy auto industry more competitive in the global market.
