Changsha hound's death sparks anger

Animal lovers have expressed their anger after a police officer beat a golden retriever to death with a stick in Changsha. Police said the dog was killed to ensure public safety as it had threatened the safety of four pedestrians. But local residents said they opposed the police's use of violence. The officer involved received threats online.
