Fight against poverty continues to see progress

The State Council Information Office will hold a media briefing in Bejing on Tuesday to highlight progress in the poverty alleviation campaign. In the past five years, the number of people categorized as living in poverty was cut by 66 percent. China has set a goal to complete the building of a "moderately prosperous society" in all respects by 2020, which requires the total eradication of poverty.
