CBRC revises rules for overseas banks

The China Banking Regulatory Commission said on Thursday that it would revise administrative licensing measures for foreign banks and has solicited public opinions on the matter. The revised implementation measures will add regulations on the requirements, procedure and application material for foreign banks to set up or buy into domestic banking institutions.
