Pang Jie, (not her real name) a pharmacologist at a well-known hospital in Shanghai. She preferred not to be identified.
When I decided to work in a hospital, my mother told me that the public held medical workers in high esteem. I don't think that's the case nowadays, which is upsetting.
My main job is to distribute medication to patients at the pharmacy, the last stop before they leave the hospital and the place where people usually vent any discontent they have with the service they have received.
