Volunteer takes on Changsha thieves

Huang Desheng, a one-armed volunteer traffic assistant from Changsha, has caught more than 60 thieves in 22 years. The 72-year-old, who lost his left arm in an accident when he was a railway worker, started snaring crooks in 1995. Over the years, he has been injured several times. Huang gave up looking for thieves a few years ago and volunteered to be a traffic assistant. "Although one of my arms is damaged, my heart and brain are not," he said.
